Nestled in the charming village of Grainau, Romantik Alpenhotel Waxenstein proved to be a delightful escape this Christmas. The breathtaking panoramic views of the Zugspitze Mountain from our cozy country-style room left us in awe every morning. Even though our room was near the reception, it remained pleasantly quiet, allowing for some much-needed rest after afternoons filled with outdoor adventures like hiking and skiing. A highlight of our stay was the exquisite dining experience at their gourmet restaurant, where we indulged in a 4-course menu that beautifully blended regional specialties with French haute cuisine while sipping an array of fine grappa. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, always smiling and eager to help, making our time all the more enjoyable. I can confidently say, as an ocean lover who enjoys the tranquility of nature, that this hotel is a serene slice of paradise in the mountains!
